For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been around a camera in some way or another. My mom tells me that on Christmas mornings when I was a little kid, I was always more interested in the video camera itself than the gifts I was supposed to be opening. Most of these home videos consist of me getting distracted by the camera, screaming “Let me try!” and then lunging for it. Eventually, I did get behind the camera and that’s where things took off.
I grew up mountain biking with friends in Port Moody and Vancouver, which then progressed into creating mountain biking videos, typically with a point-and-shoot camera with no more than 3 megapixels. It wasn’t until high school that I started to develop more interest in the medium. I took a film class during my grade 11 year and was lucky enough to find something I was truly excited about. Filmmaking opened the doors to a world where I could create whatever I wanted, and express how I saw the world around me. I found myself falling in love with the process and being so enveloped in making something, that I often lost track of time and wound up editing late into the night (I still do). Fast forward to present day and I’ve since earned several awards at film festivals across Canada, and in New York City and Los Angeles. Some of my films have even gone on tour across the USA, the UK and South America.
Now, I create marketing content and promotional videos for clients such as Simon Fraser University, Kinetik Cycles and various tech companies. I also hold a degree in Mechatronic Systems Engineering and have experience working with start-ups on both engineering and marketing teams. If you have any questions, want to go for a ride or just want to meet for coffee, feel free to send me an email!
